E:PG Ratio - What does it mean?
The ratio between estrogen and progesterone can provide information on whether or not estrogen dominance is present. In this process, the blood values measured by a physician are brought to one unit, and then the estrogen value is divided by the progesterone value. if the result is greater than 1, estrogen dominance is present and the ratio is given in x:1 where x would be the result of the division. If the result is less than 1, estrogen dominance is not present and the ratio is expressed as 1:x, where x would be the result of dividing 1 by the result of the first division.
